Summary of recent changes: We updated where StylesGo operates, clarified that appointments use a request-based model (a Barber must accept your request before it becomes a Booking), described how card verification and payment authorization work, added terms for the StylesPass subscription, promotions and referrals, corporate and group events, and updated our dispute-resolution and contact details.

1 Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StylesGo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and StylesGo, Inc., a Delaware C-corporation ("StylesGo," "Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our mobile applications, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

IMPORTANT: These Terms contain an arbitration agreement and class action waiver in Section 17. Please read them carefully as they affect your legal rights.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Services.

2 Definitions

Throughout these Terms, the following definitions apply:

"Platform"
The StylesGo mobile applications (iOS and Android), website, and all related technology infrastructure.
"Client" or "Customer"
Any individual who uses the Platform to request barbering or hairstyling services.
"Barber," "Hairstylist," or "Service Provider"
Independent contractors who provide barbering and/or hairstyling services through the Platform. In these Terms, "Barber" includes hairstylists unless the context requires otherwise.
"Request"
A Client's submitted request for a service, which is broadcast to available Barbers. A Request is an offer only; it does not guarantee an appointment until a Barber accepts it.
"Booking" or "Appointment"
A Request that a Barber has accepted, creating a confirmed appointment for the requested services.
"StylesPass"
An optional recurring monthly subscription offering priority and bundled visits, described in Section 7.
"Service Area"
The geographic areas where StylesGo operates. The current Service Area is the set of U.S. states and locations enabled in the app and on our website, which changes over time as we expand.
"Service Location"
The address designated by the Client where the requested services will be performed.

3 Description of Services

StylesGo operates a technology marketplace platform that connects Clients with vetted, professional barbers and hairstylists for on-location barbering and hairstyling services. Our Services include:

  • Mobile Request Platform: iOS and Android applications and a website for requesting appointments
  • On-Location Services: Professional haircuts, hairstyling, and grooming delivered to homes, offices, hotels, hospitals, care facilities, and events
  • Payment Processing: Secure handling of transactions between Clients and Barbers through our payment processor
  • Quality Assurance: Vetting of Barbers and facilitation of reviews and ratings

Marketplace Role: StylesGo is a technology platform that facilitates connections between Clients and independent Barbers. StylesGo is not a barbering or hairstyling service provider, and Barbers are not employees of StylesGo.

3.1 Request-Based Model

StylesGo uses a request-based model. When you submit a Request, it is broadcast to available Barbers in your area, and the first qualified Barber to accept it confirms the appointment.

Submitting a Request does not guarantee an appointment until a Barber accepts. We recommend submitting your Request in advance (ideally at least 24–48 hours ahead) to improve the chance a Barber is available.

3.2 Service Areas

Our Services are available only within our current Service Area. The states and locations we serve are managed by StylesGo and change over time as we expand or adjust availability. The current list of supported states and available areas is shown in the app and on our website at the time you submit a Request. Requests for locations outside the Service Area cannot be completed. We reserve the right to expand or limit the Service Area at our discretion.

3.3 Service Types

We offer barbering and hairstyling services (such as haircuts and styling), optional add-ons, and event/group packages. The specific services, descriptions, durations, and prices available to you are set by StylesGo and displayed in the app or on our website at the time of your Request. The following are representative examples and may not reflect current offerings:

4 Eligibility & Account Registration

4.1 Eligibility Requirements

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Not have been previously suspended or removed from our Platform
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

You can browse services, submit a Request, and complete payment as a guest, without creating an account. Creating an account is optional and provides additional features (such as StylesPass, saved payment methods, and appointment history). Some account features require sign-in, and signed-in users may be asked to verify their phone number.

4.2 Account Creation

To access certain features of our Services, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

4.3 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. StylesGo will not be liable for any losses arising from unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised.

5 Requests & Appointments

5.1 Submitting a Request

When you submit a Request through our Platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate service location and contact information
  • Ensure the service location is safe, accessible, and suitable for grooming services
  • Be present and available at the scheduled appointment time
  • Provide any necessary access instructions (gate codes, parking information, etc.)
  • Have appropriate space, lighting, and access to an electrical outlet if needed

5.2 Acceptance & Confirmation

Your Request is broadcast to available Barbers and becomes a confirmed Booking only when a Barber accepts it and you receive a confirmation through the Platform. Until a Barber accepts, no appointment exists. After acceptance, the Barber may share an estimated arrival time and notify you when they are on the way. StylesGo reserves the right to decline or cancel Requests or Bookings at our discretion, including for safety, suspected fraud, or violations of these Terms.

5.3 Service Location Requirements

Clients must ensure that service locations meet the following requirements:

  • Safe and secure environment for the Barber to perform services
  • Adequate lighting for precision grooming work
  • Access to running water (preferred but not required)
  • A chair or seating suitable for haircuts
  • Clear of hazards and with sufficient space for the Barber to work

5.4 Completion & Signature

When the service is complete, the appointment is marked complete and, where applicable, the Client is asked to provide an on-device signature confirming the service was performed. Collecting the signature authorizes StylesGo to capture the previously authorized payment (see Section 6). If a Client declines to sign, the appointment is placed under review and StylesGo may capture or void the payment based on its review of the appointment.

5.5 Appointment Modifications

You may request changes to your appointment (date, time, or service type) through the Platform, subject to Barber availability and our cancellation policy (Section 9). Changes requested close to the scheduled appointment time may be treated as a cancellation.

5.6 SMS Communications & Consent

By creating an account and providing your phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS text messages from StylesGo related to your use of the Services. These messages may include:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Status updates (barber on the way, appointment completed)
  • Service-related notifications
  • Account verification codes

For Barbers: By activating your account, you consent to receive SMS notifications about new appointment requests in your service area.

Marketing messages: Promotional or marketing text messages are sent only with your separate, express consent, which is not a condition of requesting or purchasing services. You can manage marketing preferences in your account settings or via our SMS consent page.

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity. Typically 2-5 messages per appointment.

Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may also disable SMS notifications in your account settings. Opting out may affect your ability to receive important appointment updates.

By using our Services, you confirm that the phone number provided is yours and that you are authorized to receive text messages at that number.

6 Payments & Pricing

6.1 Pricing

Service prices are set by StylesGo and vary by location and service type. The price shown in the app or on our website before you confirm your Request is the price that will apply to that appointment, unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to change, but changes will not affect an appointment that has already been confirmed.

6.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. StylesGo does not store your complete payment card information on our servers.

6.3 How Payment Works

For most appointments, payment is handled in the following steps:

  • Card verification: When you add your card, a small temporary verification charge (for example, $1.00) may be placed to confirm the card is valid. This verification is voided/refunded and is not a charge for services.
  • Authorization hold: When a Barber accepts your Request, an authorization hold is placed on your payment method for the estimated total. This holds funds but is not a final charge.
  • Capture at completion: After the service is completed (and the completion signature is collected, where applicable), the authorized amount is captured as the final charge, including the service price plus any applicable taxes and gratuity.

By submitting a Request, you authorize StylesGo and its payment processor to verify your card, place authorization holds, and charge your selected payment method for the total service amount plus any applicable fees, taxes, or gratuities. Some legacy appointments may follow a prior payment flow.

6.4 Payment Retry

If an authorization or final charge fails (for example, due to an expired card or insufficient funds), your appointment may enter a payment-retry state and we may ask you to update your payment method within a limited window. If payment is not successfully completed within that window, the appointment may be canceled.

6.5 Tips & Gratuities

Tips are optional but appreciated. 100% of tips go directly to the Barber. You may add a tip through the Platform at or after the completion of your service.

6.6 Taxes

Applicable taxes are calculated by StylesGo based on the service location and the type of service, and are displayed before you confirm. In some jurisdictions, certain personal-care services such as haircuts are not subject to sales tax; where that applies, no sales tax will be added. Taxes are determined and calculated by us and not by you.

7 StylesPass Subscription

StylesPass is an optional paid membership that provides benefits such as priority matching and bundled or discounted visits. StylesPass is not required to use StylesGo.

AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: StylesPass is a recurring subscription that automatically renews each billing period (e.g., monthly) and charges your payment method on file until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize StylesGo and its payment processor (Stripe) to charge the then-current subscription fee on a recurring basis.

7.1 Billing & Renewal

The current StylesPass price and billing period are shown at the point of sign-up. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged at the start of each new period, unless and until you cancel.

7.2 Cancellation

You may cancel StylesPass at any time through your account settings in the app or by contacting team@stylesgoapp.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; it takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to StylesPass benefits until that period ends.

7.3 Fees & Refunds

Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable, and partial billing periods are not prorated. Benefits that are not used within a billing period do not carry over unless we state otherwise. We will notify you of material changes to the price or benefits before they take effect, as required by applicable law.

8 Promotions, Referrals & Store Credit

8.1 Promo Codes

From time to time we may offer promotional codes or discounts. Promo codes are subject to their specific terms (for example, first-time-customer only, single use, minimum requirements, or expiration), have no cash value, cannot be combined unless stated, and may be modified or revoked at any time, including for suspected fraud or abuse.

8.2 Referrals

Our referral program may reward you and/or a referred user with credit or other benefits when eligibility conditions are met. Referral rewards are subject to program terms, may change at any time, and may be withheld or revoked for fraud, self-referral, or other abuse.

8.3 Store Credit & Wallet

Store credit (including any wallet balance) may be applied toward eligible services. Unless required by law, store credit has no cash value, is non-transferable, may expire, and may be forfeited if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.

9 Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

9.1 Before a Barber Accepts

If no Barber has accepted your Request, you may cancel it at no charge. Because an authorization hold is only placed when a Barber accepts (see Section 6.3), no hold applies before acceptance. If a Request expires because no Barber accepts it within the applicable window, it is canceled automatically and any temporary card-verification charge is voided/refunded.

9.2 Cancelling a Confirmed Appointment

Because payment is captured only when your appointment is completed and you confirm the service (see Section 6.3), no payment is taken before then — only an authorization hold. If you cancel a confirmed appointment before it takes place, the authorization hold is released and you are not charged, so there is no payment to refund.

A no-show, or cancelling at the last moment, may be charged up to the full service amount to compensate the Barber for the reserved time. Close to your appointment time, you may be prompted to reschedule (see Section 9.3) instead of cancelling.

Because you confirm the service at completion before payment is captured, there is no automatic right to a refund after payment. If you have a concern about the quality of a completed service, contact us (see Section 9.8) and we may, at our discretion, offer a partial or full refund, store credit, or a complimentary follow-up.

9.3 Rescheduling

You may ask to reschedule a confirmed appointment to a new time, subject to the following:

  • Rescheduling is initiated by the Client. You may request one reschedule per confirmed appointment.
  • The new time must meet a minimum-advance requirement (generally at least the next day, plus a buffer) and cannot fall within a short window before either the current or the proposed time.
  • After you request a reschedule, the assigned Barber has a limited time to accept or decline. If they do not respond, your request may be offered to other available Barbers; if no Barber accepts, the request expires and your original appointment time stands.
  • While a reschedule request is pending, final payment is not captured until the request is resolved.
  • Rescheduling is not available for corporate or group appointments.

The exact timing requirements are shown in the app.

9.4 Upgrading a Service

You may upgrade an eligible appointment to a higher-tier service (for example, from a haircut to Full Service) before the appointment starts. When you upgrade:

  • The service, estimated duration, price, and applicable taxes are updated to the upgraded service, and the difference in price is added.
  • For a confirmed appointment, we attempt to authorize the additional amount on your card (by increasing the existing hold, or by placing a new hold and releasing the old one). If your card cannot authorize the difference, the appointment stays unchanged.
  • For an appointment a Barber has not yet accepted, the upgraded total applies when a Barber accepts.
  • Upgrades are not available for StylesPass, gifted, guest, or group bookings.
  • An upgrade is not reversible; the cancellation policy above still applies to the upgraded appointment.

9.5 Barber Cancellations

If a Barber must cancel a confirmed Booking, StylesGo will:

  • Attempt to assign an alternative qualified Barber
  • Offer to reschedule at a time convenient for you
  • Release the authorization hold or provide a full refund if no alternative is acceptable

9.6 StylesGo Cancellations

StylesGo reserves the right to cancel Requests or Bookings due to:

  • Safety concerns at the service location
  • Suspected fraudulent activity
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, severe weather, etc.)

9.7 Refund Processing

Where a refund is due (for example, following a Barber or StylesGo cancellation, or a discretionary service-quality resolution), it is issued to the original payment method or as store credit, per our policies. Refunds to a payment method are typically processed within 5-10 business days. Authorization holds that are released may take additional time to disappear from your statement depending on your financial institution.

9.8 Service Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with the quality of service received, please contact us at team@stylesgoapp.com within 48 hours of your appointment. We will review your complaint and may offer a partial or full refund, or a complimentary follow-up service at our discretion.

10 User Conduct

10.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against Barbers or other users
  • Engage in any conduct that is harmful, fraudulent, or offensive
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform
  • Circumvent any security or access restrictions

10.2 Safety Standards

For the safety of our Barbers, Clients agree to:

  • Provide a safe and respectful environment for services
  • Not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol during appointments
  • Not possess weapons at the service location during appointments
  • Not request services that are illegal or violate our policies
  • Treat Barbers with dignity and respect

10.3 Consequences of Violations

Violations of these conduct standards may result in:

  • Warnings or account restrictions
  • Immediate termination of your appointment
  • Permanent suspension from the Platform
  • Reporting to law enforcement if appropriate
  • Legal action to recover damages

11 Barber Relationship & Terms

11.1 Independent Contractor Status

Barbers who provide services through the StylesGo Platform are independent contractors, not employees of StylesGo. As such:

  • StylesGo does not control the manner or method of service delivery
  • Barbers set their own schedules and availability
  • Barbers provide their own equipment and supplies
  • Barbers are responsible for their own taxes and insurance

Barbers are also subject to separate agreements, including an Independent Contractor Agreement and Statement of Work, which govern their relationship with StylesGo.

11.2 Verification & Background Checks

StylesGo vets Barbers through a multi-step process that may include:

  • Identity verification (including a government-issued ID)
  • Verification of professional licenses (where applicable)
  • Background checks performed by a third-party consumer reporting agency
  • Skills assessment and review of professional experience and portfolio

Background checks are conducted with the Barber's authorization and are subject to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable state law, as further described in our Privacy Policy. Continued eligibility to provide services may depend on the results. However, StylesGo does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Barbers.

11.3 Direct Engagement Prohibited

Clients agree not to directly solicit, hire, or engage Barbers met through the Platform for services outside the Platform for a period of 12 months following their last Platform-facilitated appointment.

11.4 Governing Agreements for Barbers

A Barber's provision of services through the Platform is also governed by the separate Independent Contractor Agreement, Statement of Work, and Contractor Handbook that the Barber accepts in the Barber App. For any matter arising from a Barber's provision of services, those agreements (including their governing-law and dispute-resolution terms) control over these Terms to the extent of any conflict.

12 Corporate & Group Events

StylesGo offers corporate and group event services (for example, on-site grooming for companies and events) booked through a dedicated flow. Corporate and group bookings may be subject to a separate booking fee and per-Barber, per-hour pricing shown at the time of booking, and may be billed by invoice through our payment processor.

Corporate and group events may be governed by an additional or separate agreement between StylesGo and the requesting organization. Where such an agreement conflicts with these Terms with respect to the event, that agreement controls for that event.

13 Intellectual Property

13.1 StylesGo Ownership

The Platform, including all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, software, and code), is owned by StylesGo and protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

13.2 Limited License

Subject to these Terms, StylesGo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include:

  • Any resale or commercial use of the Platform
  • Modification, reproduction, or distribution of any content
  • Use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering tools
  • Downloading or copying account information for third parties

13.3 Trademarks

"StylesGo," the StylesGo logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of StylesGo. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

13.4 User Content

By submitting content (reviews, photos, feedback) to the Platform, you grant StylesGo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such content in connection with our Services.

14 Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

14.1 No Warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StylesGo disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties regarding the quality, accuracy, or reliability of services
  • Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the conduct or quality of any Barber

14.2 Third-Party Services

StylesGo is not responsible for the actions, content, or services of third parties, including Barbers. Any disputes between you and a Barber must be resolved directly between you and the Barber.

14.3 Service Outcomes

StylesGo does not guarantee any specific outcomes from grooming services. Results may vary based on individual hair type, condition, and other factors. Reference photos are for guidance only and do not guarantee identical results.

15 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STYLESGO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

15.1 Liability Cap

In no event shall StylesGo's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid to StylesGo in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
  • One hundred dollars ($100)

15.2 Exclusions

StylesGo is not liable for:

  • Personal injury or property damage caused by Barbers
  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or Platform unavailability
  • Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in content
  • Unauthorized access to your account or data
  • Actions or omissions of third parties

15.3 Jurisdictional Limitations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

16 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StylesGo, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your use of the Services
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Content you submit to the Platform
  • Your interaction with any Barber

17 Dispute Resolution

17.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to first contact us at team@stylesgoapp.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

17.2 Binding Arbitration

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you and StylesGo agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

The arbitration shall be conducted in San Francisco, California, or remotely via video conference if mutually agreed. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

17.3 Class Action Waiver

YOU AND STYLESGO AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

17.4 Exceptions

Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.

17.5 Opt-Out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to team@stylesgoapp.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your name, address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.

18 Termination

18.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings in the app or by contacting us at team@stylesgoapp.com. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination.

18.2 Termination by StylesGo

StylesGo may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Conduct that harms other users or Barbers
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Requests from law enforcement

18.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to access the Platform immediately ceases
  • Pending Requests or Bookings may be canceled
  • You remain liable for any outstanding payments
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive

19 Changes to Terms

StylesGo reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
  • Notify you via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before changes take effect
  • Provide a summary of key changes

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Services.

20 General Provisions

20.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. This clause governs the consumer relationship; a Barber's provision of services is governed by the Independent Contractor Agreement and its dispute-resolution terms (see Section 11.4).

20.2 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published on the Platform, constitute the entire agreement between you and StylesGo regarding the Services.

20.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

20.4 Waiver

StylesGo's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

20.5 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without StylesGo's prior written consent. StylesGo may assign these Terms without restriction.

StylesGo shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or government actions.
