1 Introduction

StylesGo, Inc. ("StylesGo," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile applications (iOS and Android), website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

4 How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share information as described below, including with the service providers (sub-processors) that help us operate the Services and, for advertising measurement, with the partners described in Section 5.

  • With Barbers and Clients: To facilitate an appointment, we share the information needed to perform the service — for example, a Client's name, phone number, service location, appointment details, and style preferences are shared with the assigned Barber, and a Barber's profile information is shown to the Client. Barbers are contractually required to keep client information confidential, use it only to provide the requested service, and not contact clients outside the Platform for their own purposes
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect rights, property, or safety
  • With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes with your consent

5 Advertising, Analytics & Cookies

5.1 Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our website and apps use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies:

  • Essential: Required for core functionality such as authentication and security
  • Analytics: Help us understand how users interact with our Services (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Preference: Remember your settings and preferences
  • Mobile Identifiers: Device identifiers used for analytics, advertising measurement, and push notifications

5.2 Advertising & Measurement Partners

We use analytics and advertising partners, including Google and Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram), to measure and improve our Services and advertising. For advertising measurement, we may share hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email address or phone number) and event data (such as that a request was started or completed) with these partners so they can attribute and improve advertising. We do not share your government ID, precise geolocation, or background-check information for advertising.

Under California law, our use of these advertising partners may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (and, under some state laws, a "sale" or "targeted advertising"), even though we do not exchange personal information for money.

5.3 Your Choices

  • Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: You may opt out of this sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising by emailing team@stylesgoapp.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share."
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): Where required, we treat a recognized GPC browser signal as a request to opt out of sharing/sale for that browser
  • Device & Browser Settings: You can limit ad tracking in your device settings and control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect functionality
  • Marketing: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing email, and from marketing texts by replying STOP

6 Background Checks (Service Providers)

This section applies to Barbers (service providers). To help keep our community safe, we use a third-party consumer reporting agency (currently Yardstik; previously Checkr) to obtain background-check reports about Barber applicants and Barbers. These reports are "consumer reports" under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

  • Authorization: We obtain background-check reports only after you provide the required disclosures and written authorization
  • Use: We use these reports solely to assess eligibility to provide services through StylesGo. Your continued eligibility may depend on the results
  • Adverse Action: If we intend to take an adverse action (such as declining or removing you) based in whole or part on a report, we will provide a pre-adverse-action notice that includes a copy of the report and "A Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA," allow a reasonable period for you to dispute the information, and then provide a final adverse-action notice if applicable
  • Disputes: You may dispute the accuracy or completeness of a report directly with the consumer reporting agency identified in the notice

7 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, and afterward for as long as necessary to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion as needed for legal and business purposes
  • Transaction & Booking Records: Retained as required by tax, accounting, and other legal obligations
  • Background-Check Records (Barbers): Retained as required by the FCRA and applicable law
  • Communications: Retained for a reasonable period after the conversation ends
  • Aggregated/De-identified Data: May be retained indefinitely

Account Deletion: You can request deletion of your account in the app's settings or by contacting us. When you delete your account, we deactivate it and delete or de-identify personal information that we are not required to retain, and we remove associated push-notification tokens. Some information is retained for longer where required by law.

8 Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:

  • Encryption: Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL protocols
  • Secure Storage: Personal data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest
  • Access Controls: Access to personal information is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis
  • Payment Security: Payment card data is processed by a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor and is not stored on our servers
  • Authentication: We support secure authentication methods including phone verification and social login
  • Regular Audits: We conduct periodic security assessments and vulnerability testing

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9 Your Privacy Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access / Know: Request a copy of, or information about, the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing & Targeted Advertising: Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and of targeted advertising (see Section 5)
  • Limit Sensitive Information: Where applicable, direct us to limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights
  • Other Controls: Disable location services or push notifications in your device settings, and manage marketing preferences in your account settings

To exercise these rights, contact us at team@stylesgoapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 45 days, with a possible extension).

The categories of personal information we collect are described in Section 2, and the categories we may "share" for advertising are described in Section 5.

We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of advertising partners may be considered "sharing" (or a "sale") under California law; you can opt out as described in Section 5 or by emailing team@stylesgoapp.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share." California residents may also use an authorized agent and have "Shine the Light" rights regarding disclosures for third-party direct marketing.

To exercise these rights, contact team@stylesgoapp.com. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if your appeal is denied, you may contact the Virginia Attorney General.

By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
